Hawzah News Agency- Delivering this week's Friday sermon in the Iranian northern city of Chalus, Hojatoleslam Seyyed Davoud Mousavi said the martyred leader's legacy of building structured governance stands as an unprecedented achievement in Islamic history.
Institutionalizing the Islamic system
The cleric pointed to the accomplishments of the late leader's blessed life, noting that during the difficult post-World War II era, when much of the country's infrastructure had lost its effectiveness, he managed to lay the foundations for the broadest and largest structures of religious governance.
"Today, all sectors of the country, from overarching legislation to long-term executive horizons, bear the imprint of the martyred leader's far-reaching vision. Iran's leaps in emerging fields such as nanotechnology, artificial intelligence, aerospace and cyberspace are part of his enduring legacy spanning 86 years of life, which must serve as an inspiration for future generations," Mousavi said.
Triumph of innate truth over arrogance
Referring to the massive funeral processions for the martyred leader in Tehran, Qom, Mashhad and especially Iraq, the Friday prayer leader said the extraordinary emotional and ideological bond between a nation and the wider Muslim community left the world in astonishment.
"This event represented the victory of the current of innate truth-seeking over the current of arrogance and the global media empire," he stated.
Mousavi emphasized that to continue the martyred leader's path, Iranians must remain anchored in faith, the pursuit of justice, national resistance, support for the resistance front, countering distortion, and attending to the needs of society's disadvantaged.
Restoring the mosque's central role
Commemorating World Mosque Day, the cleric stressed the need to restore the pivotal role of mosques in society.
"At the dawn of Islamic governance, the mosque was the center of all decision-making. Today, amid the cultural battle and generational shifts, we must once again turn the mosque into the source of explanatory decision-making, cultural struggle and constructive mobilization," he said.
Mousavi called for a thorough reassessment of the current state of mosques, urging a review of the roles played by the clergy, mosque trustees and social organizations so that mosques can once again become centers of attraction for the younger generation.
Government Week: streamlining service to the people
Congratulating the nation on Government Week and paying tribute to martyred statesmen such as Rajaei, Bahonar and Raeisi, the cleric stressed the need for cohesive government performance under wartime conditions.
"An Islamic government must follow the example of the Imams of the Revolution and streamline service to the people across all indicators," he said.
Amid the current economic, political and security pressures, Mousavi said the government must engage the people with complete honesty and work alongside them to facilitate solutions, ensuring that the voice of resistance against the enemy is harmonized with the voice of service to the people.
Call for youth to join Islamic seminaries
Pointing to the start of enrollment at religious institutions, Mousavi invited families, students and seekers of knowledge to register at Islamic seminaries for men and women, describing it as service on the path of Imam Mahdi (may God hasten his reappearance) and Imam Sadiq (AS).
He stressed that the doors of these centers remain open to all those interested in nurturing religious excellence and serving society.
